Interested in commissioning me and not sure where to start? Or just wondering what to expect? Here I’ll go over the whole process!
☆ Commission Form ☆
The first step is for you to fill out my commission form with all of your information! The forms can be found at the top of each of my commission pages (the digital art, animations, and ref sheets pages), and are open for submissions whenever my commissions are open!
I usually open for a batch of commissions near the beginning of each month, though it's not a concrete schedule! Keep an on my Instagram for announcements on when I plan to open them next! And you can fill out this form and you'll be notified the when my commissions are open!
Once you’ve submitted a commission form, you’ll be waiting for a message from me! Please make sure the accounts you've asked me to contact you with aren’t private, otherwise I won't be able to message you! (but if they are private, I'll either give your slot to someone else, or try contacting you at you PayPal email) I’ll most often get back to you in a few hours to a day, If you don’t hear from me, it means I won't be going through with your commission. But you are welcome to submit another form next time!
☆ Payment ☆
Once I get in contact with you, I’ll confirm the price with you, and you are welcome to ask any questions you may have! Then I’ll send over the PayPal invoice, and once I've received full payment you’ll be officially added to my Queue! Please pay as soon as you're able! I can do holds, just please let me know when you'll be able to pay when filling out the commission form!
☆ My Queue☆
After this, I’ll be working through the batch of commissions! You can see my progress on each commission over on my Queue. I have it open when I’m working and update what step I'm on with each commission, so it’s basically always up to date. I do number each commission, but it’s just for organizational purposes and that usually isn’t the order I work on/complete them in. Sometimes I’ll finish one after the other, and sometimes I’ll skip around at different stages of each of them, it just depends on what I’m inspired to work on each day! Doing it this way instead of in a specific order helps me be motivated to do the best that I can do!
If I’m “stuck” or having a hard time on one commission for whatever reason, I’ll often take a break from it and work on other ones in the meantime, I’ll always do a better job on it if I take a break, rather than trying to brute force my way through!
☆ WIPs ☆
For sending WIPs (work in progress) depends on the commission, by default I always I send the first sketch, one for lines & colour, and then the completed final. If it’s for a ref sheet then I’ll send WIPs every step of the way. After I’ve sent a WIP, the commission is basically on pause as I’m waiting for your approval, so please get back to me asap! You are welcome to ask for WIPs whenever!
☆ Turnaround Time ☆
My turnaround time is most often less than a month, it may rarely be longer if I have a long queue, I’m sick, or if it's a busy time for me such as around the holiday season or during art fight. Generally, I prefer to finish the smaller commissions first and save the bigger ones for after that way fewer people are waiting on art from me. If you have a deadline you’d like the commission to be completed by, please let me know when filling out the commission form.
☆ Completion ☆
When I'm all finished your commission, I'll upload it to Google Drive and send you the link, from there you can download the file(s) at the full resolution! I can make any small changes after I'm finished, such as fixing a marking or a colour.
☆ Rush Fee ☆
If you’d like your commission to be finished ASAP, you can ask to pay extra for the Rush fee at any time! It’s an extra 15% of the final total, I won’t literally “rush” it, but this way I’ll bump your commission up to the top of my priority, to be finished as soon as I'm able! (And if you plan on doing the rush fee from the start, let me know in the form so I can include it in the main invoice)
